Description
The name 'Dardanup' is derived from that used by the original Aboriginal inhabitants, meaning low lying ground by the water. European settlement in Dardanup began with Thomas Little (1838).
While in the Dardanup Townsite, enjoy a relaxing 2km walk following in the footsteps of our early pioneers on the Heritage Trail.
Start at the Don Hewison Centre, built in 1896 and now home to the Ferguson Valley Visitor Centre and Memorial Rose Gardens. Explore the Dardanup Townsite and discover all of its historic treasures. Follow the Heritage Trail using the map available from the Visitor Centre or download a copy at the bottom of the page.
This historic walking tour will take 1 to 2 hours depending on your pace!
